Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Practice Manager - NYU Langone Hematology Oncology Associates - Mineola.

In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for the operational functions of the private practice. Assures that office policies and procedures are adhered to and promotes the efficiency and profitability of the practice. Performs all other job duties pertaining to specialty.

Job Responsibilities:

Performs other duties as assigned.Develops, directs and supervises practice staff in regards to job duties, responsibilities and time efficiency. Maintains personnel files including updated job descriptions. Maintains time sheets for payroll. Ensures that staff received appropriate training for tasks. Develops and maintains practice-specific orientation and policies and procedures. Responsible for the time efficiency of staff members which includes ensuring there is no abuse of downtime and/or overtime.Responsible for the appropriate training of front desk responsibilities including customer service, interactions with providers, patients and other support staff, and diversity to medical secretaries and medical assistants. Works with front desk to identify and maintain efficiency. Monitors front desk staff to be sure they are responding to all patient follow-up requests by providers through the EMR andor verbally. Responsible for recruiting and hiring as applicable.Maintains finance reports for monthly submission to Director, Faculty practice on a timely basis. Submits annual budgets in timely manner. Monitors practice expenses, i.e. medical/surgical supplies and office supplies. Responsible for the oversight and/or ordering of supplies including inventory control. Responsible for submitting invoices to be paid on timely basis. Responsible for capital request submission including required paperwork and justifications.Responsible for maintaining updated documents, i.e. licenses, DEAs, etc. with the managed care plans as well as responding to requests related to managed care plans. Responsible for working with the Department of Managed Care Credentialing when credentialing new provider(s). Maintains current managed care participation lists for practice staff.Responsible for the maintenance of provider schedules to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner. Responsible for oversight of schedule changes and ensuring patients are re-scheduled appropriately. Monitors that staff are maintaining efficiency with patient registration which includes assisting patients with EMR intake paperwork, questions, etc.Works collaboratively with outside property managers to perform maintenance with little or no disruption to practice hours. Meets with Project managers to plan and facilitate enhancement and expansion. Monitors safety and compliance issues in accordance with requirements from applicable regulation agencies and OSHA. Maintains healthy working relationship with building manager and security team at office location. Assists with contracts for cleaning and exterminating companies.Supports billing and credentialing departments by providing necessary information timely. Maintains working knowledge of appropriate aspects of insurance plans and billing regulations.Provides reports and data as requested in a timely manner.Maintains adherence to policies and procedures of the practice. Updates policies and procedures as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in related field required, hired after 1/1/2017(Acquired practices may be grandfathered), 3-5 years Health Care environment and 1-2 years demonstrated management experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership skills. Excellent multitasking skills often switching from one to another without loss of efficiency. Strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Epic.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,382.25 - $89,250.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
