The Role
Veeva is a leading global provider of cloud-based software solutions for regulated industries such as consumer goods, chemicals, cosmetics, and life sciences. As a Technical Practice Manager, you will be leading members of Veeva’s Technical Services group working on building strong teams and tackling the most complex problems; working to simplify them and ensure the customer’s speed and success. What You'll DoBuild, lead, and mentor an amazing team of Technical Consultants focused on long-term customer successProvide subject matter expertise on Vault Platform, integrations, technical design, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation best practicesTake complex concepts and articulate them to audiences of varying perception levelsDesign, implement, and provide subject matter expertise for the development of custom applicationsManage integration, development projects, and resourcesContribute to our technical services knowledge baseEvangelize the value of Veeva’s Technical ServicesSupport the sales team and solution consultants in winning new businessWork closely with customers to understand their pain points and recommend efficient solutionsAccountable for customer success from beginning to end of the project life cycleRequirements5+ years leading, hiring, and growing technical teams5+ years working in a software developer capacityStrong background in Java development and experience with the Spring frameworkAbility to roll up sleeves and tackle hands-on technical tasks to support the team when neededExperience in translating business requirements into software specifications including writing and reviewing technical documentationExperience in a customer-facing role, preferably with a software professional services organization or consulting backgroundAbility to articulate and implement integration architectureProven ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, but also as part of a remote teamAbility to travel up to 10%Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
