**Req Number** 139197 Job Description: Responsible for receiving incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, greeting patients, verifying demographic/insurance, collecting co-payments/deductibles, and various clerical duties. Job Responsibility: + Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls, and if appropriate routes them appropriately. + Organizes messages and delivers them promptly to the necessary individual. + Greet patients and guests in a courteous and professional manner. + Verify insurance coverage and demographic information. + Obtain insurance referrals and authorizations. + Direct patients to appropriate waiting or clinical areas. + Explain financial obligation to patients or responsible parties and collect. copayments/co-insurance/deductibles as required. + Facilitate or create appointments for follow-up care, diagnostics procedures, physical therapy, or pain management. + Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor. + Varying shifts between the following hours: Monday and Wednesday 8:30-5, Tues 7:30-5, Thursday 7:30-4 and Friday 8:30-4 Job Qualification: + High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). + Minimum one year of relevant experience working in a medical facility or related field. + Minimum one year experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
