Practice Supervisor - Northwest Family Medicine Boulder Community Health, Superior, CO 80027 $23.58- $35.36 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week Boulder Community Health is seeking a Practice Supervisor for our North West Family Medicine clinic. The Practice supervisor is responsible for managing the day to day operations of one clinic. Supervises and evaluates front and back office staff. Reports to practice manager.Demonstrates an extensive working knowledge of and familiarity with all applications associated with managing a healthcare setting. Responsibilities •Oversees, directs, and ensures adoption sustainment of efficient clinic operations. •Implements, supports, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures. •Assists in the development/implementation of cost-effective policies and procedures for all operational areas including billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, data processing and space planning. •Ensures compliance with standards and regulations and CLIA, OSHA, Joint Commission, employment law, and reimbursement including organization compliance plan. •Supports goals and objectives of the organization and promotes a supportive and productive environment. •Provides, presents, and analyzes data for fiscal, statistical and planning purposes. •Provides input to the budget process. Responsible for clinic expenditures and ensures that the clinic remains within budget. Reviews and codes invoices and forwards to Accounts Payable in a timely manner. Responsible for the control of petty cash. Keeps Director informed of variances in budget. •Responsible for the selection, training, orientation, assignment, and supervision of clinic personnel. •Ensures adequate staffing. Reassign staff or secures coverage as necessary. Approves/denies PAL requests with the support of the manager as necessary. •Reviews and approves staff time cards and submits to payroll for timely processing. •Identifies and resolves personnel issues employing and documenting corrective action as necessary. •Collaborates with physicians as needed to effectively evaluate clinical and technical staff. •Facilitates staff and provider meetings on a regular basis to discuss clinic issues and day-to-day operations. Includes the manager or department director as necessary. •Ensures implementation and continuation of an active Reward and Recognition committee. •Assists with the effective implementation of benefit programs, wage scales, job descriptions, personnel policies and payroll practices. •Acts as clinic liaison with all other departments and clinics, as well as with outside agencies and the public. •Handles patient complaints. Meets with patients regarding billing and collection issues as necessary. •Participates in professional development activities to keep current with healthcare trends and practices. •Establishes and maintains effective, professional working relationships with patients and their representatives, managers, staff, physicians, other hospital departments, outside agencies, and the public. •Work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of a Care Team with Primary Care Providers, MAs, and other clinic staff to provide care to patients based on best practices and evidenced based medicine (EBM). •Participates in daily team huddles and meetings among Care Team and clinic that address patient progress and barriers to patient care.
