Job Description Summary PRACTICE/TEACHING FACULTY IN ACCOUNTINGThe Accounting and Law Division at Babson College seeks applications for a Practice / Teaching Professor in Accounting beginning Fall 2025. Our expectation is to hire at the Assistant level but individuals with exceptional experience could be considered at the Associate level. We seek intellectually curious colleagues who are aligned with our mission of educating responsible entrepreneurial leaders who create economic and social value everywhere. We are focused on attracting exceptional talent to add richness to the academic experience on our campus. Babson College is an Equal Opportunity employer. The primary responsibility involves teaching Managerial Accounting (MAC) in our undergraduate and graduate programs at our Wellesley, Massachusetts campus and in our hybrid programs. The ideal candidate also would be able to teach one or more accounting electives to undergraduate students.  Further, our practice / teaching faculty are expected to develop a portfolio of engagement with practice and/or scholarship and to engage in service and leadership opportunities within the division, the college, and/or the greater academic or practice communities.  This is an in-person position. A successful applicant is an individual who:·       Holds a doctoral (PhD, DBA) or master (MBA, MSA) degree from an accredited college or university and, preferably, holds a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).·       Is enthusiastic about teaching MAC for an entrepreneurially focused, global, and multi-cultural student population.·       Has practical experience and understands the linkages between MAC, strategy, and business operations.·       Presents the “why” as well as the “what” and “how” when teaching MAC.·       Uses technology and innovative methods in course delivery.·       Works as a team player and collaborates with faculty in the accounting group and across disciplines, both in college service and in integrated teaching contexts.·       Is experienced with and committed to working in ways that will support and enhance the College’s commitment to teaching that is aligned, engaged, and inclusive.·       Will develop a portfolio of practical and/or scholarly engagement to contribute to the greater practice and/or academic communities.·       Will be a collegial, engaged member of the community and dedicated to the success of the College and to the delivery of quality education to our students. Screening of applications will begin in March and continue until the position is filled.  Interested candidates should submit: 1.      A CV detailing professional credentials and accomplishments in accounting practice and/or higher education.2.      A cover letter detailing your reason for applying, your experience with and commitment to teaching, and your experience with and/or plan to engage with practice and/or scholarship.3.      The names and contact details of three professional references. For questions, please contact Benjamin Luippold, the Chair of the Accounting & Law Division, at bluippold@babson.edu.
