***We are moving our headquarters to Eagan in 2025! This role is based at our current HQ in Bloomington but will move to Eagan in 2025.***
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Entry-level position designed to provide foundational knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare individuals interested in working in the electrical trade.
+ Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
+ Assisting with material handling and transport
+ Help with wire stripping, cable pulling, and basic electrical installations that may include but are not limited to bolting solar panels to large metal racking, torquing bolts in racking and mounting solar panels
+ Performing basic tasks like measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
+ Observe and assist experienced workers while learning proper techniques
+ Following company safety guidelines and procedures
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with a pay range of $22.40 to $24.26 per hour, as negotiated under the terms of the agreement. All pay rates, benefits, and employment terms are determined and administered by the union.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
+ Requires a pre-employment physical, work simulation (testing ability to perform physical tasks required to be an electrician), vision test
+ Registration with the State of MN as Registered Unlicensed Electrician
+ Must apply to applicable JATC program to be eligible
+ Must be 18 years of age or older

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Will work in outdoor weather conditions, on ladders, and regularly lifts material that can weigh up to 50 pounds
+ Majority of work done while standing
