We are assisting a leading provider of bespoke Fit out Contractor with turnover of £40 millions serving a wide range of industries, with a commitment to enhancing project efficiency, sustainability, and quality. Due to continued growth, the organisation is in need of an experienced and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Manager. As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will coordinate the project's scope, budget, schedule, and logistical requirements, helping ensure it can move forward efficiently and within the expected timeframe.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Manage all pre-construction activities, including feasibility studies, budgeting, design management, and project scheduling ensuring thorough preparation to meet project timelines and objectives.
Manage the process of securing necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance to avoid project delays.
Work closely with estimators to develop accurate budgets and cost estimates and analyse potential cost-saving opportunities through value engineering during the design phase.
Identify and assess potential risks in the pre-construction phase and develop solutions to eliminate risks and ensure smooth project delivery.
Prepare essential documentation, 3D models, and 2D drawings that support effective project delivery.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the pre-construction phase ensuring clear communication and alignment with the client’s objectives and expectations.
Ensure a seamless transition from pre-construction to the construction phase by providing comprehensive project documentation, schedules, and budgets to the project delivery team.
Manage handover meetings with internal and external teams ensuring client requirements are met and project development on project delivery.
5+ years’ experience in pre-construction management, estimator background is also desirable with a strong focus on interior fit out projects.
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Strong understanding of construction processes within main contractor and fit out projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of design coordination, feasibility analysis, permitting processes, and construction best practices.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Ability to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make informed decisions in complex situations.
Effective communication skills and ability to travel when required.
