Job Description:
As part of our strategic expansion in the UK market, DXC Technology is seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Pre-sales and Solutioning Principal Architect to drive the growth of our Financial Services Data & AI practice. As a Lead Data & AI Principal Architect you'll play a major role in cutting-edge technological advancements, team development, and leading successful projects in Financial Services and beyond. You will create and own technical solutions, promote DXC’s Data & AI offerings, and provide guidance on technology strategies, roadmaps, and business plans. You will also represent DXC at industry conferences, further establishing our market presence.
This is a remote role within the UK, with occasional travel to client sites or company events when required.
Due to the nature of our client accounts, SC security clearance is required and for us to obtain this for you, you must be a sole British National that has lived and worked in the UK consecutively for the past 5 years. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals currently.
What you will be doing:
Strategic Client Engagement and Leadership
Partner with senior sales leadership to drive strategic client engagements, understanding data management, regulatory compliance, and analytics challenges in the UK financial services market.
Lead high-level solutioning discussions, acting as a trusted advisor for client C-suite executives and stakeholders on data strategies, trends, and innovative solutions.
Present complex data solutions and their business value through impactful demos and presentations, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
Solution Design and Delivery Oversight
Architect bespoke, end-to-end data solutions for financial services clients, ensuring compliance with GDPR, FCA guidelines, MiFID II, and other regulatory standards.
Develop comprehensive proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work (SOWs) focusing on ROI and value realization.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility, scalability, and alignment of proposed solutions with client expectations.
Market Leadership and Industry Expertise
Act as a subject matter expert on UK financial services data trends, regulations, and technological advancements, influencing clients and internal teams.
Conduct market analysis and provide strategic insights to shape product offerings and competitive positioning.
Develop and promote thought leadership content, including white papers, webinars, and case studies, to enhance DXC’s market presence.
Team Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Mentor pre-sales associates and solution architects, fostering skill development and ensuring high-quality client deliverables.
Work closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams to validate solution designs, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical robustness.
Oversee seamless transitions from pre-sales to implementation, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
Drive operational efficiencies by standardizing proposal development, knowledge sharing, and solutioning processes.
Monitor and refine solutioning frameworks to align with evolving industry standards and client expectations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key financial institutions, leveraging feedback to refine service offerings and identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
Extensive experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or a related role, with a focus on financial services technology or data analytics.
Proven track record in leading solution design for UK financial services clients, with deep knowledge of FCA guidelines, GDPR, MiFID II, and other relevant regulations.
Experience managing large, complex client engagements and building long-term client relationships.
Must Have Skills & Competencies:
Domain Expertise & Technical Leadership
Extensive knowledge of data solutions, including data architecture, governance, analytics, and integration within financial services.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and analytics tools, with familiarity in AI-driven financial solutions.
Expertise in financial data standards, BI platforms, and ETL processes.
Sales & Solutioning Skills
Strong storytelling and communication skills to present technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Advanced skills in crafting compelling proposals, presentations, and technical documents showcasing measurable value.
Analytical acumen and creativity in translating complex client challenges into innovative, practical solutions.
Industry Knowledge & Strategic Insight
Deep understanding of the UK financial services market, regulatory frameworks, and key market drivers.
Familiarity with emerging trends in data analytics, risk management, and regulatory technologies (RegTech).
Leadership & Collaboration
Strong interpersonal and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive alignment across teams for successful solution delivery.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience working with major UK-based financial institutions, such as banks, asset managers, or insurance companies.
Certifications in data privacy, compliance, or financial data management (e.g., CDPSE, GDPR certification, Financial Data Analyst).
Proven expertise in AI-driven financial analytics or risk management solutions.
