Oneida Innovations Group is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Federal\/DoD Business Development team. In this role, reporting to the Director of Business Affairs, you will be working alongside sector business development\/sales personnel, capture and proposal Team Members to engage with prospective customers, potential teammates, vendors, OEMs, VARs and key personnel to develop proposed solutions for IT modernization efforts, IT operations and sustainment contracts, cybersecurity and C5ISR integration projects. \n
Responsibilities & Duties:\n

Direct customer engagement:\n\nContribute technical solution content within a collaborative business development team to prepare solution presentations and pre-sale demonstrations to prospective customers. \nMust have excellent public speaking skills; responsible for presenting proposed solutions and engaging interactions with customers, prospects and teammates.\nWork with prospective customers and teammates to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements.\nExcellent communication skills, passion for technology, problem solving and continuous learning.\nContribute to capture efforts and earn customer trust - knowing what questions to ask that lend credibility and creativity to our proposed solution.\n\n

Technical Approach\/Solution:\n\nEvaluate and analyze Federal\/DoD requirements documents, such as Performance Work Statements, Statements of Objectives, Statement of Work, System Requirements Documents, Bidder Technical Library. \nDissect and reverse-engineer requirements and historical or projected workload data to develop basis of estimates for labor, hardware and software needed to fully address the requirements of a solicitation. \nLeverages OEM, partner, and other business relationships to increase business revenue and margin through information technology solution sales to the federal government.\nLead research and recommendations for potential teaming, conducting gap analysis to ensure we can present a complete solution.\n\n\nHistory of success on cross-functional teams; experience developing complex staffing plans and notional bill of materials for systems integration projects. \nWorking with human resources, procurement and Pricing Analyst to quantify cost\/price for the technical solution (staffing level of effort, bill of materials).\n\n

Support proposal development:\n\nDevelop win themes and out-of-the-box ideation as to how the technical solution can deliver more value to our customers.\nCollaborate and contribute technical writing, diagrams and inputs to Technical proposal team. \n\n\nSupport color team reviews of proposals, providing insight and feedback to ensure technical accuracy.\nWorking with human resources and operations to develop job descriptions and interview prospective key personnel associated with a proposal\/project.\nLead capture and proposal-stage technical solutioning sessions to develop proposed architectures, bill of materials and levels of effort for Technical and Cost\/Price proposal volumes.\nWork within CRM tool for updating business leads and opportunity records as assigned.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nAbility and interest to obtain (or maintain) an Active TS Clearance \nA bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 10 or more years of related experience in federal\/DoD.\nPrior work experience as government civilian or enlisted service strongly preferred.\n8-10 years of experience working on large DoD programs specific to Information Technology services, and large account management.\nC-Level Communicator\nExperience with business development across Federal agencies required; DoD strongly preferred\nExperience with the development of large proposals and complex IT staffing plans utilizing information contained within RFP and internal capture efforts; conversely, if prior work experience was as government employee, experience with preparing technical RFPs and proposal evaluation (source selection) process.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExcellent organization and time management skills; ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities to meet firm deadlines.\n\n\nAbility to broadly understand and clearly communicate technical work; engineering background in one or more of the following verticals required: cybersecurity, network architecture, systems integration, data science.\nExcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio. Adept at researching technology products, solutions and vendors. \n\n
