PURPOSE:This document prescribes the expectations, skills, and education / experience requirements for the position identified.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for all assigned operations on their shiftResponsible for knowing the production needs for both printing pressesEnsuring both printing presses have all the job materials (ink, plates, board stock, etc.) needed to operate the presses at all timesAiding with press set-up and clean up tasksPerform preventive maintenance and upkeep on production equipment.Provide printer crews with breaks as neededGeneral cleaning duties on each press, sweep platforms, wipe down equipmentStorage and maintenance of coating blankets, create new blankets as neededAssist with general operations on both presses. Ensure each press has materials for at least 3 jobs staged and ready to runAs required, pull printed loads and stage them correctlyAssist with equipment repairs when possibleConfirm that the Printing Department is clean before shift change (Garbage and Rag buckets empty, material stocked, area swept and clean)Keep department in specs within all 5S requirementsEach person, regardless of role or position is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and QualityExecute job duties in a safe and efficient mannerReport to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality.Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions to the best of your abilityParticipate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training.Safe operation of motorized pallet jacks.Other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GEDSAFE WORK REQUIREMENTSPPE:   Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Gloves, and Safety Shoes.Hair Nets, Beard Nets as required in designated areas.Compliance with Personnel Practices Policy, workplace safety policies, rules, and proceduresABSENCE PROVISIONOther operators of comparable position will back up this position in the event of an absence
