Precaster ($18 - $24/hr)
**Job Title: Precaster** **Job Description** As a precaster, you will assemble metal forms for molding reinforced concrete slabs, stairs, and beams. Your daily tasks include cleaning and preparing molds, pouring concrete, and finishing concrete. This role involves various activities related to the manufacturing of precast and pre-stressed concrete. Please note that this job can get hot, sweaty, and dirty. **Responsibilities** + Frequently climb in and out of forms that are 5-6ft tall and narrow. + Read and understand the Production Schedule and adhere to time frames. + Assist with the setup and stripping of concrete forms. + Help with filling and leveling concrete castings. + Participate in housekeeping duties to help clean the shop. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift up to 60lbs. + Capability to climb in and out of 5-6ft tall forms that are narrow. + Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, stretch, and climb for extended periods. + Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/16”. + Skilled in using hand and power tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Drama-free with a good attitude; works well with others. + Ability to use concrete finishing tools. + Experience with heavy equipment, such as overhead cranes. + Some woodworking skills are preferable. + Skills in welding, maintenance, and quality control are a plus. **Why Work Here?** People get to choose their career path with opportunities for promotion to Precaster 2 at 6 months. The production floor is a big shop with open doors, consisting of 6 different zones requiring different skills and concrete mixes. The environment is dirty with concrete dust and splatter.
