Assure that work assignments are carried out by other members of the group. Review work operations for status and progress, causes of delays, and other problems. Repair test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) according to procedures. Determine appropriate calibration procedures and substitute calibration standards when required. I am able to pass along guidance to employees from supervisors. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, and handling of items weighing up to 40 pounds with occasional requirements to lift items in excess of 50 pounds. Working Conditions: The work is performed in laboratories and user facilities where technicians are exposed to the hazards of high voltage, high pressure, high and low temperatures, chemicals and radiation. Calibrators must comply with all safety regulations applicable to the calibration mission.
