Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Focus on diagnostic topics for our new products in the solid tumors indication area.Network building and project responsibility to ensure testing quality.Development and representation of strategic affiliate interests for pipeline products in solid oncology in close coordination with Market Access and Commercial.Provide scientific and technical leadership to ensure professional and credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts of strategic importance to AbbVie.Ensure a strong medical and scientific presence for AbbVie in key academic centers by facilitation of research and educational initiatives, while supporting requests for medical and scientific information on products or areas of therapeutic interest to AbbVie.Serve as point of contact within the Medical Affairs team for thought leaders and external experts within the Italian territory in order to satisfy their needs for scientific knowledge in the Oncology and Pathology area.Development and implementation of the medical strategy focusing on diagnostics for the oncology indication area in alignment with the Italian affiliate’s Brand Plan.Planning and conducting internal and external training events in oncology and pathology.Planning and implementation of studies and scientific projects including publication creation; discussion and support of Investigator-Initiated Studies.Technical contact person and national representative for international study projects in oncology and pathology, in collaboration with the oncology affiliate medical team.Initiating and improving close customer relationships with key opinion leaders in oncology and pathology.Scientific representation of the company at national and international congresses, symposia, and medical training sessions.Planning and conducting in collaboration with the oncology medical team, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and other medical events with oncologists and pathologists.Managing the medical review and approval process.Close cross-functional collaboration, e.g., with members of the Brand Teams, field forces, Market Access, and international colleagues.Strong team and customer orientation.Qualifications
Requirements:
Medical or Italian equivalent to Laurea Magistrale in life science/chemistry related topicsMinimum of 3 years’ working experience in clinical context or in pharmaceutical/biotechnological industry, in a scientific/medical role, within cross functional teams or in clinical oncology or diagnostics.Excellent knowledge of the health sector and of its development.Effective management of the work in a matrix structure.Fluency in written and oral English (Minimum Common European Framework Level: C1).Proven strength in project management and strategy areas.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.High organizational talent, flexibility, and independent working style.Convincing and open communication with different interlocutors in an interdisciplinary environmentPreferred:
