**Job Title: Precision Parts Inspector** **Job Description** We are seeking a Precision Parts Inspector to support our machined parts department. This highly detail-oriented role requires expertise in shop math, documentation, and manufacturing processes. You will use precision measuring tools and blueprints to review parts from CNC machines and ensure they meet dimensional specifications. This position is suitable for candidates with a variety of manufacturing experience in precision measuring. **Responsibilities** + Follow all document measurement procedures. + Work alongside Manufacturing Managers to ensure compliance with equipment calibration system requirements. + Use precision measurement tools like micrometers, height gauges, optical gauges, and others for inspections. + Inspect parts with reference to blueprints and work orders by applying knowledge of machining, shop math, and statistics. + Document findings with internal customers and develop corrective action plans. + Maintain accurate records and inventory of tools. **Essential Skills** + Blueprint reading + Use of precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. + Inspection of manufactured parts, ideally from a machine shop or similar experience with parts inspection + Ability to perform shop math for measuring and calculating dimensions + Ability to read work order documents and document if parts meet compliance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook + Knowledge of blueprints and mechanical drawings + Basic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) + Familiarity with CMM operations (PC-DMIS) **Why Work Here?** Our team enjoys long tenures, with average employee duration ranging from 6-10 years.
