Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Preclinical Formulations, Non-clinical Drug Safety department located at our Ridgefield, Connecticut facility. As an Intern, you will learn about the strategies used in early-stage formulation development and influence of formulation type on the outcome of a toxicological study. Development and delivery of robust preclinical formulations encompasses unique challenges. The internship will provide an opportunity to learn about the approaches to address these challenges in an industrial setting.

Duties & Responsibilities Review formulation strategies for toxicological studies. Provide support for formulation preparation in a regulated environment.Perform database and/or literature search as necessary. Requirements Must be a current graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferredMajor or minor in related field of internshipUndergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or universityGraduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or universityDesired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Ph.D. or Master’s student in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry or equivalent Familiarity with formulation development Ability to think critically about experimental results and draw conclusionsAbility of work independently and as part of a team Compensation DataThis position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 - $33.00 USD / hr. commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled.
