Preconstruction Danager
Job Description

Seeking a Preconstruction Manager or Director with experience in commercial, retail, or industrial projects. Candidates should have an interest in design-build projects.

The position manages a team of preconstruction estimators, directs, coordinates, and participates in the preparation of assigned estimates based on an Owner's/Architect's designs through construction documents.Responsibilities include all functions required during preconstruction such as value engineering, schedules, logistics, procurement, and comparative studies.You will plan, coordinate, direct, and build/maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and quality completion of work.Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering positive client relationships throughout the preconstruction process.The ideal candidate will have preconstruction experience, though a Sr. Estimator may also be considered. Candidates must come from a General Contractor—experience with multi or single-family projects will not be considered.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, and/or 10+ years of applicable estimating, design management and/or field management experience.Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.Demonstrates experience in leadership in a team and client environment.Knowledge and understanding of construction strategy and contracts.Thorough knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices, including sustainable building practices.Ability to conceptualize a project using minimal information and the ability to quickly develop an understanding of the Owner/Architect requirements.Ability to provide an imaginative and innovative approach to improve the project.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Familiarity with On-Screen Take-off, Microsoft 365 Suite and Project.Pre-engineered Metal Building (PEMB) experience a plus.Recruiter: Eisen Hardy - 'ehardy@actalentservices.com'About Actalent
