Iconica is seeking a Preconstruction/Estimating Intern to join our team for summer 2025! As a Preconstruction Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Preconstruction Managers, playing a key role in bridging design and construction. You’ll gain hands-on experience in: + Collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams. + Attending pre-bid meetings and visiting project sites. + Reading and interpreting project specifications and construction drawings. + Using industry-leading software, such as On-Screen Takeoff, Autodesk Assemble, Excel, Revit, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Plan-Room, and more. + Building and maintaining historical cost databases. + Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and evaluate quotes. + Assisting with project schedule and budget preparation. Qualified candidates will have the following: + Enrollment in an Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program or Construction Management program. + Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred). + Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams. + High initiative and passion for learning. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
