Job Description Seeking a Preconstruction Manager or Director with experience in commercial, retail, or industrial projects. + The position manages a team of preconstruction estimators, directs, coordinates, and participates in the preparation of assigned estimates based on an Owner's/Architect's designs through construction documents. + The ideal candidate will have preconstruction experience, though a Sr. Estimator may also be considered. + Candidates must come from a General Contractor—experience with multi or single-family projects will not be considered. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, and/or 10+ years of applicable estimating, design management and/or field management experience. + Ability to work on multiple projects at once + Demonstrates experience in leadership in a team and client environment. + Knowledge and understanding of construction strategy and contracts. + Thorough knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices, including sustainable building practices. + Ability to conceptualize a project using minimal information and the ability to quickly develop an understanding of the Owner/Architect requirements. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Familiarity with On-Screen Take-off, Microsoft 365 Suite and Project.
