**Description**
The Prefabrication Intern will support the Prefabrication Coordinators and Project Management team to execute fabrication management and program management ventures for a specific project\.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
+ Adhere to the company's safety programs and policies and assist others with compliance\.
+ Assists in the planning and coordination of fabrication functions including, but not limited to the following: scheduling, engineering, material control, procurement, safety and provide day to day support to project foremen\.
+ Assist Project Managers with job change orders\.
+ Attends project meetings as directed by project manager\.
+ Maintains drawing records in an orderly fashion\. Maintains a drawing log and ensures that working copies are properly updated and old versions are voided\.
+ Assist in weekly job progress reporting accurate quantities installed and labor hours performed timely for job costing purposes\.
+ Provides technical assistance as required, such as interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment\.
+ Complies with all policies and standards\.
+ Performs other duties as assigned\.

Education and/or Experience:
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree\.
Other Qualifications:
+ Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office \(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access\)\.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills\.
+ Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, and attention to detail\.
+ Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi\-task in a fast\-paced environment\.
+ Construction or fabrication background preferred\.
+ Minimum of a 3\.0 GPA strongly preferred\.
+ Involvement on campus or in the community preferred\.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently \(i\.e\., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship\) in the country where this position is located\.
