Position Summary:
This position’s duties include cleaning cylinders and other ink transferring equipment to support the Printing Presses as the internal customer. Additional responsibilities also include operating and maintaining the Beckart waste water treatment system within Local, State and Federal environmental compliance for treated water release. Assisting the Flexo Plate Room and cross training to a minimal level is also required.
JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Daily support of all presses through review of printing schedules. Assist in area process improvement activities; identify and complete assigned projects while maintaining 5 S requirements for the area. Accurately inventory, clean, measure and maintain Anilox supplies along with operation of the Flexowash equipment. Produce daily batches through the Beckart system within specification. Support and cross train across the Flexo Plate Room task. Training associates in the operational and test procedures. Non-conforming material (both supplier and plant generated) analysis & opportunity improvement Manage test equipment maintenance and calibration activities Participates on shift safety committees and conducts STOP audits as required. Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the area. Ensures all equipment and tools are maintained and serviced when needed through SAP notifications. Assures all SOP’s are accurate and followed accordingly. Must be able to work any shift and work overtime with short notice.
Required Skills:
Good organization skills. Able to multi-task with ease. Ability to support internal customer (Printing Presses)Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Manufacturing experience.
