About the Mechanic Group:

A leading specialty managing general insurance agency writing program business for the security guard, investigative and alarm/electronic security industry.    We are a well-known best-in-class underwriting / program management intermediary that has exclusive underwriting authority with our partner carriers.   Our specialty insurance products are distributed through retail insurance agents and brokers.    

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with President and COO in all aspects of Finance and Accounting Liaison between National Elevator and HUB / SPG Financial Centers (including AP & AR) Account Reconciliation of insurance premium accounts, commissions, and other related transactions Financial record maintenance and review for accurate records of accounts payable/receivable, policyholder premiums, carrier statements Billing and Payments for clients, track payments, and oversee the follow up on overdue balances. Ensure accuracy in premium payments. Oversight & monitoring of Premium Finance operations Oversight & monitoring of financial transactions in agency management system Issuance of payment for expenses Manage the General Liability premium audit process

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in insurance accounting/bookkeeping. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting Ability to communicate effectively with insureds, brokers, carriers and internal team members. Experience Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and preferred with insurance agency management systems (EPIC & AIM) Ability to manage multiple tasks

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 USD and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
