Premium Concessions Manager, Campus Services

The Premium Concessions Manager is responsible for providing high-end food and beverage services in premium areas across Vanderbilt's athletic venues. The position is accountable for delivering exceptional dining experiences, managing premium concessions operations, and ensuring the highest standards of service and quality. This role reports directly to the Director of Concessions and works closely with the concessions and athletic teams to drive the premium offerings at the University. The Premium Concessions Manager plays a critical part in elevating Vanderbilt's premium concessions and enhancing the gameday experience for the university's most valuable stakeholders.

Key Functions & Expected Performance

Premium Operations Management:

Manage all aspects of premium concessions operations, including staffing, inventory, financial reporting, and customer service. Work with General Manager of Concessions and Specialty Chef to create and execute menus for premium events and hospitality areas. Oversee the set-up and tear-down of all premium events. Manage suite attendants and other premium staff to ensure exceptional customer service. Maintain strong working relationships with suite holders and the Vanderbilt Athletics client. Monitor and manage inventory specific to premium operations, ensuring quality and availability while minimizing waste. Ensure all food safety regulations and health codes are strictly adhered to, conducting regular inspections and staff training to maintain high standards. Manage the budget and financial performance of the concessions program, including pricing, budgeting, and meeting sales and financial targets.

Customer Experience:

Ensure an elevated level of customer satisfaction by anticipating guest needs, responding to inquiries, and resolving any issues with a proactive approach. Collaborate with culinary teams to design and update a diverse, high-quality menu that aligns with premium offerings and guest preferences. Work closely with event planners and management to coordinate premium concessions services for VIP events and special occasions.

Sales and Marketing:

Implement targeted marketing strategies to promote premium concessions, enhance product offerings, and drive sales in exclusive areas.

Leadership and Teamwork:

Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences. Collaborate with the Director of Concessions, concessions team, and athletic department to ensure seamless premium service delivery.

Supervisory Relationship:

This position has management responsibility over the Specialty Chef and premium seating temporary workers, this position reports to the Director of Concessions.

Education and Certifications

A high school diploma or GED is necessary. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution with specialized training in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in premium/luxury concessions, hospitality, or sports/entertainment operations. Proven experience in premium concessions management, high-end food service, or a related role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a discerning clientele. Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and financial reporting specific to premium operations. Strong customer service orientation and ability to deliver high-end experiences. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficient in financial/budgeting management and data analysis. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
