Premium Tax Preparer
Job Description Keeper is delightfully smart tax filing software that expertly files taxes for business owners, freelancers, and contractors alike. We have an AI-powered write-off detection system that is personalized and ensures no one overpays on their taxes. Our professional staff prepares tens of thousands of returns each year and makes the entire tax filing process simple and accurate. Our automated tax filing experience takes the difficulty and stress out of tax filing for our clients by identifying deductions and enhancing the experience with the power of AI. Beyond this, our Premium plan comes with the ability to make amendments, file prior year returns, make estimated tax payments, and add more complex scenarios to the tax return, like foreign income and K-1s. As a Premium Tax preparer, your primary role is to assist our Operations team with these Premium users, reviewing finalized tax returns and make modifications based on our users specifications. Responsibilities Work through a queue of our Premium returns for our users whose individual income tax returns require extra attention or specific credits Amend returns Help calculate quarterly (estimated) tax payments Occasionally correspond with these users (email only) Help us answer tougher tax questions posed from the customer support team. Skills and Requirements Qualifications 2-3 years experience preparing personal income tax returns, particularly dealing with less common scenarios (K-1s, EV credits, foreign income, debt cancellation, etc.) Experience dealing with clients is a plus Ability to maintain a consistent pace of three return modifications/hr Reliable internet connection Able to work a regular schedule with estimated 10 hours/wk during tax season null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
