Role Description
Under general supervision, applies elements of the nursing process in the interviewing, assessment of and education to patients during the pre-procedural phone call. Will also begin developing a plan of care based on their assessment. Will collaborate with other healthcare providers on an intra and interdepartmental basis.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Must work in PST hours.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assesses the health status of the patient to develop an individualized plan of care by collecting, categorizing and interpreting data (Physical and psychosocial) from documented information, patient or caregivers’ interview and other health care team members Develops a beginning nursing care plan based on the assessment of the patient Instructs the patient and/or caregiver to assist the patient in the achievement of optimal status for the planned procedure Documents interview information and nursing activities to provide a permanent record, for continuity of care, QI and professional accountability Establishes and maintains a safe environment Coordinate support services needed during the planned procedure by anticipating and communicating patient and surgical team needs Communicates information to patient/caregiver to promote optimal preparation for post-procedural period Contributes to discharge plan Collaborates with other health team members schedules, office staff, charge persons, Director and Medical Director to share information and optimize outcome Answers incoming telephone calls in a timely manner Prioritizes tasks and has ability to manage multiple duties at once

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing Current WA State RN license BLS certification Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Membership in professional nursing organization 2+ years of recent hospital experience 1+ years of current clinical experience
