Prep Cook / Dishwasher

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dishwasher. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, maintain a steady supply of clean dishes, and assist with basic food preparation tasks.

$22 - $23 per hour, 6 hour shifts, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Dishwashing: Operate and maintain the dishwasher, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized. Hand-wash delicate items and large pots/pans as needed. Ensure that clean dishes are promptly restocked to their proper places. Putting Away Orders: Receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality. Unpack, organize, and store food items, supplies, and equipment in the appropriate areas. Rotate stock to ensure the freshest items are used first, and manage inventory to minimize waste. Kitchen Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash. Clean and sanitize countertops, kitchen equipment, and storage areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Rudimentary Food Prep: Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing simple ingredients, and assembling dishes under the supervision of the kitchen staff. Follow food safety guidelines and kitchen protocols. Team Support: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required. Must be able to lift 50lbs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Working Conditions:

The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The kitchen environment can be hot, noisy, and fast-paced.
