POSITION SUMMARY: The Prep Food Cook Lead contributes to company’s success by having a hands-on involvement in the day-to-day restaurant operations. The Cook Lead effectively leads a shift while ensuring restaurant operational excellence. The Cook Lead may be responsible for the opening or closing procedures of the restaurant in coordination with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

While performing the duties of this job, the Cook is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The Cook must also have the ability to do the following: regularly lift /move/or carry up to 25 pounds; frequently lift/move/or carry up to 45 pounds and occasionally lift/move/or carry up to 65 pounds; work with restaurant equipment (stove, ovens, fryers, knives, pots and pans, etc.). Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, grasping, pinching, smelling, tasting, reaching/lifting above shoulders in a repetitive manner; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and work with cleaning solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
