Prepress Support Clerk

Prepress Support Clerk – Winston-Salem Manufacturing 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am to 2:30pm

Pay: $17.25/hr. 


Summary: 

The Prepress Support Clerk is responsible for the prepress workflow and coordination of any new item from submission of job through creating books and Jamela folders for Offset and Nozomi and ensuring quality control methods are followed; also assisting Technicians and Formatting with the movement of jobs between departments for a smooth, efficient transition.

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

 

Receiving, Sorting, and Shipping ProofsMaking Jalema FoldersSending approved proofs to proofers and uploading files to the prepress interface.Moving folders to and from the Nozomi transfer protocol.Moving folders to and from the elevator for the offset plate room.Assembling Brown Books for new jobs and organizing them by job type (Press Ready vs. Prep).Inform Prepress Supervisor/Prepress Manager of any concerns that arise with production.Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policy and procedures.Overtime may be required for the department.Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED minimum. Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite and Mac programs.Previous administrative experience within a warehouse experience preferred. Must have organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and a self-starter. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
