Salary Mid-Point: $225,000 Location: Monroeville PA Job Type: Permanent IFG Pittsburgh has been retained to identify a President and CEO responsible for providing comprehensive strategic and operational leadership. The president and CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors and management to drive the development and achievement of the company's vision, mission, and growth objectives. This role emphasizes maintaining high standards in manufacturing, quality control, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Corporate Development Lead the formulation and implementation of long-term strategies, in line with the goals set by the Board of Directors. Establish performance targets and drive organizational alignment to ensure achievement of financial and operational milestones. Prepare and present quarterly and annual strategic reports to the Board, ensuring full transparency on progress and challenges.
Operations Oversight & Process Improvement Oversee all operational departments, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Production, Procurement, Estimating, Finance, Human Resources, and IT. Ensure timely and efficient fulfillment of customer orders by collaborating with production and supply chain teams to meet commitments.
Financial Planning & Fiscal Management Lead financial planning and analysis efforts, including annual operating plan, budget preparation, forecasting, and cost analysis. Oversee budget allocation, capital expenditures, and cost-control strategies to maximize profitability. Conduct regular reviews of profit & loss statements for all major contracts and provide strategic guidance to ensure contract profitability. Maintain robust cash flow management practices and optimize working capital allocation to meet both short and long-term objectives.
Personnel & Organizational Development Lead Negotiations with unions to finalize new agreements every three years. Partner with Human Resources to develop hiring strategies, oversee performance management, and build a skilled and motivated workforce. Maintain a collaborative and positive organizational culture that prioritizes innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement. Foster leadership development and succession planning to ensure company remains resilient and adaptive to industry shifts.
Customer Relations & Business Development Act as the primary point of contact for customer interface, maintaining and enhancing relationships with key accounts. Lead customer engagement initiatives to build long-term partnerships, expand revenue streams and uphold the company's reputation for high-quality service and reliability. Identify new business opportunities to expand customer footprint. Ensure that client requirements and expectations are clearly understood and met, maintaining alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
Compliance & Quality Assurance Oversee compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with the Director of Quality Control to manage and support customer audits, ensuring rigorous quality assurance across all operations. Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and health regulations, maintaining a secure and compliant workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Educational Background & Experience Master's degree (MA/MBA) in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in executive management, preferably within manufacturing. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, process improvement, and financial management within a manufacturing organization.
Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration. Proven experience in using ERP systems to implement and manage process improvements. Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
