Your mission
As the President, you take on the mission to further build on the foundation for the company being overall responsible for the company direction, strategy, and performance of Mastercam – ensuring continued success in relation to changing industry needs. Guided by customer focus, you develop the business in line with new technology, and with a clear vision you create a culture of inclusion and strong collaboration. You take the responsibility for budget and financial management of the product line, and you capture current and future business opportunities linked to our business model. By inspiring high performance, maintaining a growth mindset, and constantly enhancing our offerings, you ensure that Mastercam is the number one choice on the market.

Also included in your mission is to:

Develop business strategies to strengthen our market leading position and expand our software and service offerings by connecting software, digital services and data driven machining.Ensure profitable growth above the market, both organically and through partnerships and acquisitions.Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure that we produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.Lead and motivate the organization to advance employee engagement, creating a culture of diversity and inclusion and to develop a high performing management team.Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and company policies to maintain our compliance and business ethics in a safe and sustainable mannerAnalyze complex business challenges and opportunities and provide solutions to ensure our growth.Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry where we operate.Enable development of individuals and their competencies to secure our offerings and meet customers’ demands for manufacturing of the future.

You work in a decentralized environment and need to show excellent influencing skills and be able to form strong networks. Operating in a global business environment with diverse cultural and economic encounters, you are the number one promoter of excellent collaborations. You align with our company values and are an inspiring leader for the organization as you connect people, processes, and valuable corporate insights. As part of a larger organization, you work closely with all relevant business units of Sandvik and establish smart and effective ways of interacting with key stakeholders.

The location for this position is in Tolland, Connecticut (USA), and you report to the President of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions. You are a valued member of the SMF management team and international travel is included in your job.    

Your character

You have extensive experience in general management or product leadership within Software Technology, preferably in the discrete manufacturing space, and a solid background of successfully leading a global organization. Experience in business development with profit and loss responsibility in a complex global business is a must to be successful in this role. As is a proven track record of accelerating growth and excellent customer relations, together with solid experience of stakeholder change management. We also consider it as a merit if you have a track record of developing a start-up organization into an enterprise organization. Your previous assignments also include a history of hardening technology products for scaled distribution. Acting in a global setting calls for excellent skills in English.

You listen and communicate openly and honestly and provide feedback while giving others freedom to act with accountability. Collaboration, stakeholder management and true business acumen are your success factors, and you capture opportunities in innovations and new ideas without losing track of your direction. You are also confident and brave in decision-making and take the lead in initiating change.
