**Job Title: Press Brake Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brakes, reading and interpreting blueprints, job cards, and work instructions to determine locations and specifications of product features, dimensions, and tolerances. Additionally, the candidate will measure in-process and completed products to verify conformance to specifications using various measuring tools, complete routine paperwork and job tracking, and maintain a clean work area following 6S practices.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate press brakes.
+ Read and understand blueprints, job cards, and work instructions to determine locations and specifications of product features, dimensions, and tolerances.
+ Measure in-process and completed products to verify conformance to specifications using calipers, fixtures, protractors, height gauges, and tape measures.
+ Complete routine paperwork and job tracking including job travelers, inspection sample plans, and JobBoss.
+ Maintain a clean work area following 6S practices.
+ Adhere to general safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with press brakes, particularly Accurpress, for at least one year.
+ Proficiency in setting up, operating, and inspecting press brake machines.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Skilled in using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier parts with team assistance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a job shop environment.
+ Stable work history with no more than one year at each company.

**Work Environment**
This is a clean machine shop with approximately 50-65 employees. The facility has a large open manufacturing feel and consists of five different departments: Welding, Fabrication, Finishing/Grinding, Quality Inspection, and Shipping. The role requires independent work most of the time, with occasional teamwork.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
