**Job Title: Press Brake Operator** **Job Description** A press brake operator uses a press brake to shape, bend, or cut metal into parts for tools, equipment, and other components. Some of their responsibilities include: - Setting up the press brake: Reading blueprints, selecting the right tooling, and determining the working tonnage and tool position - Operating the press brake: Programming the press brake and making test bends to correct errors - Inspecting the product: Checking the finished product for defects and ensuring it meets quality standards - Maintaining the press brake: Performing routine maintenance and ensuring the machine is working well and stocked with materials - Maintaining the work area: Keeping the work area clean and organized - Ensuring materials are available: Making sure there are enough raw materials on hand **Hard Skills** + Reading blueprints + Tool selection + Programming press brake + Quality inspection + Routine maintenance **Soft Skills** + Attention to detail + Organizational skills **Job Type** This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. **Work Environment** Not temperature controlled, large open facility **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
