Description Press Brake Operator needed in Fridley, MN

**MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SETTING UP AND CHANGING TOOLS**

SHIFTS: 5:30AM-4:00PM & 3:30PM-2:00AM (Monday-Thursday)

PAY: $23/HR + Depending on Experience

Performs all duties and responsibilities with an emphasis on safety. Operates most sheet metal machines such as brakes, lasers, deburring machines, shears, notches and turret punching machines. Receives work orders and prints, and use shop calculations/math if necessary. Works from complex drawings, prints, templates and specifications. Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to cut and form pieces to required dimensions. Performs highly diversified work involving close tolerances with a basic understanding of blank sizes and bend allowances. Uses precision measuring instruments to check for accuracy. Monitors machines at all times for proper operation. Works with close supervision in coordination with other team members and other departments in the company Keeps work area clean and orderly

 

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED required. Must be willing to attend any schooling necessary to complete the future educational requirements. Adequate computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft. Ability to effectively read, write and speak the English language or the ability to communication effectively in this plant environment. Proficient at advance shop mathematics. Requires a high degree of attention, mental alertness and care to prevent injury to self and others when operating machines. Must be willing to take a drug screening and background check Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during the shift. Regularly bends, twists, stoops, pushes, pulls and reaches with hands and arms. Must be able to stand, or sit as needed for the entire shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposed to loud noise most of the shift. Authorized hearing protection is required. Exposed to a wide range of heat and cold, primarily due to normal fluctuations in indoor production area temperatures, and occasionally due to exposure to outdoor conditions.
