Job Description
The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and prepare press brake machines for production runs, including selecting appropriate tooling and materials.Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine precise bending requirements.Program and adjust machine settings, including speed, angle, and pressure, to achieve accurate bends and cuts.Load materials into the machine and align them properly to ensure precise shaping.Monitor the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule work orders.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and production issues.Keep accurate records of production data and work performed.Adhere to quality control standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Essential SkillsExperience with press brake and brake press machines.Proficiency in fabrication and sheet metal work.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in setting up machines and production runs.Accupress (or similar) setup experience.
Work Environment
Shop Environment. Climate controlled but can get hot/cold when bay doors are open.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fenton, Missouri.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00
