Press Brake Operator
**Job Title: Press Brake Operator** **Job Description** The Press Brake Operator is responsible for the setup and forming of sheet metal parts in a production environment. The employee will set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual press brakes, ensuring the quality of the parts produced meets or exceeds established production tolerances and rates. The role requires the use of basic hand tools and inspection measuring tools to maintain all related tolerances and dimensions. **Responsibilities** + Read drawings and written work orders required in the fabrication of formed parts. + Assist others within the department as required by the supervisor. + Set up press brakes (Accurpress Press Brakes). + Maintain all shop equipment, tools, and fixtures to ensure the availability and functioning of equipment in the forming department. + Keep accurate production paperwork and records, including 1st piece inspection, number of parts produced, defective units produced per job, and communicate non-conforming items, shortages, etc., to the Manager of Quality Concepts/Operations Manager. + Act as a lead member of all ISO/Lean initiatives. **Essential Skills** + Ability to add and subtract small, medium, or large numbers and to multiply and divide. + Ability to use a tape measure or other measuring devices such as calipers and work with any/all specified tolerances. + Ability to read a decimal chart and simple/complex drawings to verify product identification and requirements. + Proficiency in press brake operation, blueprint reading, and working with sheet metal. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Supervisory experience is a plus. + CNC Press Brake Programming/Set-Up capability is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team where you can grow your skills and advance your career. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 3:30 pm to Midnight, with occasional overtime as needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
