As a Press Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping the Grundfos narrative in the United States. In this exciting, new role, you will engage with the media, craft compelling stories, and drive impactful communications strategies that resonate with our audiences. In this role, you will advance external communications in the Americas region by creating strong messages that reinforce Grundfos’ corporate initiatives and narrative. As a member of the global Press Office within Group Communications, you will be supported by press officers in other regions and will be expected to share knowledge and best practices and align on timing, ways of working and key message to ultimately improve PR quality, predictiveness and learning. You will work on a hybrid schedule out of our Brookshire, TX office (Houston area). **Your main responsibilities** As a Press Officer, you will have the following focus areas: Media Relations and Public Relations: + Building and maintaining relationships with prioritised media, journalists and internal as well as external experts and spokespeople to promote positive coverage for Grundfos. + Plan, prepare, align, and implement proactive PR initiatives through a variety of activities including, press releases, Q&As, pitching stories, events, training/supporting spokespeople in interviews. + Respond to reactive press inquiries and acting as a Grundfos spokesperson. Social Media: + Content Creation - plan, align and develop Social Media content that tells the story of Grundfos’, our initiatives, and narrative. + Responsible for community management on Social Media, including responding to comments, messages and fostering discussions. Growth: + Utilize the collective strengths of the Press Office’s knowledge sharing and alignment on timing, ways of working, and messages to improve PR quality, predictiveness and learning. + Engage with Group Communications colleagues to develop and qualify messaging and content creation to improve impact and consistency. + Engage with Group Communications colleagues to track reputational development, media mentions and analyze coverage to assess public perception and identify opportunities for engagement. + Develop a social media content strategy for Group Communications int Grundfos. **Your background** We imagine that you have: + A degree in Journalism or in the field of Communications. + 6+ years of relevant, professional experience in journalism or external communications. + Experience in complex stakeholder engagement, including c-suite advisory in a global environment. + Strong knowledge about press handling and preferable already strong media relations with relevant journalists and editors. + Excellent Social Media experience on both strategic, tactical, and operational level. + Good collaboration skills, with a confirmed ability to identify possibilities, promote media initiatives and resolve issues together with both internal and external stakeholders.
