We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator 2 to join our team in Houston, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently and accurately.
Set up, operate, and monitor printing presses to ensure optimal performance and quality outputInterpret work orders and specifications to determine job requirementsAdjust press settings, including ink flow, paper feed, and speed, to meet production specificationsPerform regular maintenance and cleaning of printing equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve issues with printing presses and related equipmentMonitor print quality throughout production runs and make necessary adjustmentsCollaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiencyMaintain accurate records of job details, materials used, and production metricsAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work areaAssist in training junior press operators as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in printing technology preferred2-3 years of experience as a press operator in a commercial printing environmentProficiency in operating various types of printing presses and related equipmentStrong knowledge of printing processes, techniques, and industry standardsAbility to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical documentationExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsKeen attention to detail and commitment to quality controlBasic computer skills for data entry and reportingPhysical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsExcellent color perception and eye for detailStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesWillingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as neededAdditional InformationThe pay range for this role at the noted location is $22.75 – 31.50 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and shift.
In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime.
