3rd Shift Press Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Press Operator to work with 400-ton presses for the automotive industry. You will be responsible for producing transmission and automotive parts, ensuring quality, and maintaining press operations.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and perform preventative maintenance on 400-ton presses.Produce transmission and automotive parts for major companies.Ensure parts meet quality standards using various measurement tools.Maintain an organized and clean work environment.Read and understand safety and standard operating procedures.Maintain a safe working environment.Essential SkillsPrevious press operation experience (1+ years).Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.Ability to work overtime as required.Must be able to wear PPE (steel toe shoes, hard hat, ear protection, eye protection) throughout the shift.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with 500-ton stamping presses.Experience with progressive or transfer die operations.Why Work Here

Work Environment

This position is available on the 3rd shift (10:50 pm - 7:10 am) in a large automotive manufacturing facility with over 400 employees. Training may occur on a day or hybrid schedule. The work environment is loud and involves older machinery. Candidates must wear steel or composite toe shoes and long pants with a t-shirt (uniforms provided). Overtime is required, including up to 12-hour days and weekends as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $23.60
