Your Opportunity: Taylor is seeking Press Print Operating Technician; you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. This role involves setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting printing equipment while ensuring adherence to safety standards and production schedules.
Your Responsibilities:
Carry out accurately and precisely detailed instructions from job ordersIdentify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correctSet up/adjust press for job runs to meet specificationsMonitor product for quality during job runs according to established standards and processes. Check preciseness of detail against specificationsTake action to correct any problemsMonitor equipment during job runs. Remain alert to mechanical problems and refer as necessary to maintenanceInitiate the start up and running of jobs in keeping with the production schedulePerform routine equipment maintenance and upkeepMeet established and communicated standards for output, waste, and spoilageAdhere to all safety guidelines. Keep the workspace clean and organized for efficiency in shift changeoversComplete with accuracy related logs and paperworkGeneral Examples: Complex multi-color and multi-process inline equipment, Photocopy digital high speed multi-color technical web press with finishingMaintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job trackingCoordinates with leadership and sales team to provide suggestions for incoming or prospective customer ordersYou Must Have:
High school diploma or its equivalent preferred and demonstrated mechanical or technical aptitudeBasic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimizationAbility to operate equipment to obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standardsAbility to understand verbal and written instructions for work ordersAbility to communicate professionallyStrong attention to detailAbility to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operates machinery and handles products including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)Ability to distinguish colorsFrequently press-checks with external customersThe anticipated hourly range for this position is $23.00 – 28.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
