Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW
Support and assist the operations of the Primary Department, including machine preparation, stocking, and operator duties. Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with hazardous waste handling requirements while meeting product specifications.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Operate lifting equipment (hoists, forklifts) and assist with machine setups.Perform accurate documentation, housekeeping tasks, and compliance inspections.Handle and label hazardous waste drums and transport them safely.Proactively stock work areas for seamless operations and ensure compliance with safety policies.Troubleshoot, communicate with team members, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Train other personnel and maintain a clean, organized work environment.Follow safety rules, proper chemical handling, and grounding/bonding procedures.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

One or more years of experience in rotogravure printing, lamination, or coating.Knowledge of web handling and mechanical aptitude.Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts, drum dollies, hoists, and other tools.Proficiency with computers, fine measuring tools, and basic math skills.Ability to handle flammable materials and rotating equipment safely.Attention to detail, effective communication, and strong teamwork skills.Willingness to obtain and stay current with hazardous waste handling certifications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Manipulate rolls (up to 1600 lbs), cylinders (up to 400 lbs), and drums (300-400 lbs) using appropriate equipment.Lift up to 50 lbs and assist with lifting 90 lbs shafts/cores.Perform tasks requiring standing, crouching, and reaching throughout the shift.Work near moving machinery, handle flammable materials, and operate in environments with moderate risks requiring protective gear.Occasionally work outdoors and on elevated platforms up to 10 feet high.
