**Job Title: Press Setup Operator** **Job Description** The Press Setup Operator will have the opportunity for advancement with our growing client! This is a 1st shift opportunity. Work hours are 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday with optional overtime on Fridays. Requires 1 year of Press Setup Operator or Setup Stamping Operator experience and a High School Diploma or GED. **Responsibilities** + Perform setups, adjustments, and changeovers on presses according to production requirements. + Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards. + Ensure proper tooling and materials are in place before starting production. + Conduct inspections to confirm setups meet specifications. + Work closely with machine operators and maintenance personnel to optimize performance. + Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. + Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs as needed. + Document setup processes and report any equipment concerns. **Essential Skills** + Previous experience in press setup, die setup, or a similar mechanical role in a manufacturing environment. + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. + Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of basic CNC, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems. + Forklift or crane operation experience (if applicable). **Why Work Here?** Health, vision, dental insurance, and 401(k) with company match up to 6%. The environment is clean, but it can be hot in the summer. Fans are provided for all employees at their workstations. There are 140 employees in Rockford across 2 shifts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
