2A & 2B shift schedule is from 4:00pm - 4:00am All shifts work a 3 day on, 4 day off rotation (NO swing shift)What will I do in this role?
Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements. Responsible for supervising production areas including Platemaking, Pre-press, and Press. Continuously develop and maintain working knowledge of equipment in order to provide troubleshooting assistance as necessary. Take ownership of the process flow and work with management and other supervisors to identify areas for continuous improvement through a data-based approach and root cause methodology. Track key performance indicators, anticipating and correcting trends that would compromise achievement of productivity targets. Coordinate daily production needs with the purchasing, scheduling and press departments. Build people capability through management and improvement of training programs and process SOP’s. Provide regular, timely and accurate feedback to employees on performance and prepare them for follow-on roles in the organization. Ensure proper staffing for straight time achievement of production needs. Identify coverage for vacations, absences, etc. to maintain productivity goals. Identify maintenance issues and safety concerns and coordinate efforts to correct those deficiencies. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensure all employees comply with Belmark’s good manufacturing practices and enforce SQF requirements. Participate in process improvement teams to continuously improve plant performance, systems, and metrics. Ensure tote ink and bulk tanks are filled and emptied according to standard operating procedures. Enter daily ink usage on VOC report. Ensure proper operation of the solvent still, communicate issues to maintenance and production manager. Properly dispose of waste ink, spent solvents, and other designated waste according to hazardous waste handling guidelines.Great benefits for the entire family!

Requires a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Education that is generally acquired through two (2) years of college with completion of an associate’s degree is preferred, however, relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Must understand people and be able to communicate effectively with them. Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language. Demonstrated ability to function successfully and make effective decisions in a fast-paced, changing work environment. Ability to manage multiple competing demands, build proficiency in multiple systems and equipment sets, and exercise good judgment with incomplete information. Ability to resolve problems, handle conflict, provide accurate performance evaluations, and demonstrate Belmark principles to employees. Ability to continuously improve metrics for a given shift and develop well-functioning teams. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written communications. Manage employee developmental/training programs, prepare SOP’s, and define best practices to standardize departments. Demonstrated computer proficiency, Microsoft suite. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work on a 12-hour rotation. Some overtime will be required. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or less 30% of work time. Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less or 20 feet or more; identify and distinguish colors; to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
