BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of two years work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing experience. Press Technician position will be located in our new core plant in Whitehall, MI. Initial travel to Morristown, TN to learn process will be required. This could be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift role. Primary responsibilities will include:
Troubleshoot and problem solve forming issues at the press Manage die/gauge storage area Aids in implementing continuous improvements and is a valuable link in the cell help chain. Check overall quality of core jobs Enter data into computer if applicable Good understanding of PLC controlled presses Good understanding of forming ceramics Assists production planning in press/die compatibility Review dies to verify conformity/functionality pior to setup Notify supervisor or injection specialist of any die problems that may affect schedule Troubleshoot forming issues Assist in training and development of new set up techs and press operators Review and update coating inspection records
