What This Position is All About

Under direction from the Alteration Manager, the Alteration Presser is responsible for producing high quality altered merchandise within established time frame standards while providing customer service, establishing and helping to maintain customer relationships and working effectively with other team members within the store.

You Also Have:

Minimum of 3 years pressing/quality control experience in high-end merchandiseAbility to press a range of garmentsAbility to use pressing equipment, steam and block fabricsInspect and check altered garments to meet SFA standardsAddress any quality issues or problems observedAbility to press garments of the most complex nature such as: knits, pleated garments, gowns, leather etc.Ability to remove spots/stains from a range of fabricsOversees condition of the pressing, spotting and boiler room equipment

As The Presser, You Will:

Model all Saks Fifth Avenue Customer Service PrinciplesFocus on achieving and exceeding individual performance and productivity goalsMaintain a consistent high level of customer service by creating and developing excellent customer relationshipsFollow all Saks Fifth Avenue policies and proceduresFollow all alteration workroom policies and proceduresRespond quickly to customer/associates stock pressing needsEnsure highest quality final presentation of altered garmentsAd hoc responsibilities as needed

Salary and Other Compensation:

The starting hourly rate for this position is between [$23.58-$29.47 per hour].  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
