Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the fast-paced world of print production? As our Pressroom Feeder Operator, you’ll be essential to keeping the pressroom running smoothly. You’ll work closely with the press operator, handle everything from setup to maintenance, and ensure each job is completed with precision and quality. If you enjoy hands-on work, are detail-oriented, and love a dynamic environment, this role is perfect for you!


What You’ll Be Doing:


Machine Prep Expert: Clear the machine area before and after each run, making sure it’s clean and free from any foreign materials, and empty waste receptacles to keep the space organized.Paper Pro: Review job tickets, pick the correct paper type and quantity, and inspect it for any damage. Load and unload paper with care to ensure a smooth press operation.Ink Guru: Select the right ink from the ink room, fill the ink fountains, and maintain consistent ink levels to keep the print quality high.Water Solution Specialist: Mix the fountain solution, set up the dampening system, and check pH balance and conductivity to ensure perfect water levels.Press Feeder Operator: Set up and operate the mechanical press feeder, keeping production efficient and on track.Press Setup Assistant: Support the press operator with mounting plates, blankets, and packing, setting the stage for each new print job.Stock Mover: Move printed and unprinted stock as needed to keep workflows moving seamlessly.Quick Fixer: Perform routine adjustments during press runs to maintain quality and accuracy.Clean-Up Champion: Keep the press area neat, well-stocked, and organized, ensuring it’s always ready for action.Quality Inspector: Complete ISO forms and quality checks for each job, mark up printed sheets, and verify accuracy against the mylar.Safety Supporter: Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a safe, secure workspace.


What You’ll Bring to the Team:


Education: High school diploma or GED.Reading & Math Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, pass a basic reading test, and perform basic arithmetic.Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrated mechanical skills or meet the requirements on a mechanical test.Color Perception: Able to pass color vision and hue tests.Forklift Certification: Willing to obtain a forklift truck license.Reliability: Strong attendance and dependability are a must.Physical Readiness: Able to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
