This position is responsible for providing oversight and leadership in the Pressroom. Ensures the timely production of quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Proactively manages departmental metrics that impact cost (downtime, make-readies, run speed and waste). Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures and foster a team atmosphere, providing vision, and demonstrating support of the company’s core processes. Responsible for day-to-day management through the management of supervisory staff, including achieving production goals, managing performance of direct reports, making sound operational decisions, solving problems, and managing conflict.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have strong technical knowledge of sheet fed press operationsReviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production issuesRevises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problemsConsults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of productsIdentifies, documents, and drives departmental metrics for Productivity, Safety, Quality, Waste and any other metrics required by the companyEnsures compliance to all company policies and procedures, continually participating in company LEAN manufacturing training and auditsCoordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipmentEnsures staffing is appropriate to meet workload requirements and productivity standardsConducts on-time performance reviews of supervisors and employees. Ensures direct reports have professional development plans and that those plans are executed in the timeframes specifiedLeads effective shift meetingsManages the screen-printing process to include working knowledge of silk screen process, types of ink formulations for all patented special processesDemonstrates working knowledge of comp roomMaintains inventory of ink, blankets coatings, flexo ink and other suppliesMaintains inventory and ordering screen printing inks (both UV & Solvent)Maintains inventory and ordering of various materials for patented special processedPerforms other job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experienceMust have strong technical knowledge of sheet fed press operationsMust have the ability to foster team work and motivate individual performersMust be able to relate effectively with others at all levels of the organizationIntermediate computer skills neededMust have effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsMust have the ability to champion and lead change within the department and facility wideMust identify with and support company leadership and decisionsMust have good mechanical aptitudeMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
EDUCATION

The salary range for this position is $74,250.00 - $123,750.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
