Summary

RPI, a global leader in print-on demand, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Pressroom Supervisor for our Seattle production facility. The Pressroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of RPI's pressroom and will act as a liaison between the Production and Operations team. They must be adept at balancing quality and productivity while maintaining a positive attitude. They are also accountable for ensuring that established procedures are being followed and the performance of the area meets expectations. Proficiency in operating and maintaining HP Indigo presses, including Series 3 sheet-fed, 7250 webs, and Series 5, 15k, is preferred.

The Supervisor assumes the primary morning shift, ensuring prompt on-site presence. They oversee press preparation for daily production, execute established plans, train and develop operators, lead HP maintenance teams, enforce print quality compliance, promote a clean and safe working environment, and maintain effective communication with other department leads\/supervisors.

This full-time position requires flexible hours to accommodate fluctuating volumes, with mandatory overtime and weekend shifts during specific periods.

Responsibilities\n\nCommunicate effectively across all organizational levels.\nMeet production targets and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs).\nMonitor and control the reprint rate.\nManage labor and provide necessary training.\nEnsure compliance with maintenance and quality procedures.\nRegularly report results and status.\nPromote a safe working environment and collaborate with other departments.\nCoach and mentor production leads, providing feedback.\nEstablish fair accountability and communicate expectations clearly.\nAssess performance, conduct reviews, and address workflow improvement suggestions.\nMaintain professionalism and provide clear direction to the team.\nAdjust working hours as needed, including overtime and weekend shifts.\nVerify timecards, recording PTO, absences, and accurate hours.\nPerform other duties as required.\n\n

Experience\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience operating HP Indigo presses preferred\nPrint adjacent experience considered\nMinimum 2 years' experience leading a department\nHigh school diploma, or equivalent\n\n
