Pressure System Specialist
Job Description: You will inspect and witness testing of the ground-based pressure vessels and pressurized systems (PVS) and provide technical support and consultation as needed. Qualifications for candidates: · Possess a commission (may be currently inactive) from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NB) · Five years of experience as a commissioned (NB) inspector · Experience in application of ASME, ANSI, and DOT codes and standards · Five Years of experience as an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector Responsibilities: · Perform system and pressure vessel inspections for certification · Perform boiler inspections · Perform visual weld inspections as required · Witness relief valve set tests · Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests · Review and approve/disapprove requests for waivers based on the technical merits of each request · Review and approve/disapprove written procedures for pressure tests · Review and approve/disapprove welding procedures and associated documentation · Review and approve/disapprove vendor test reports for component certification · Provide technical support and inspection consultation as needed Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
