If you are an ENGINEERING professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our CUDAHY, WI location, you will undertake the ASME Section VIII pressure vessel and flange design, calculations, fabrication and test phases, and builds related documents for our business. You will support the delivery of project related engineering results and will be responsible for work they're leading.

Success in this position requires the candidate to work efficiently in both a collaborative and independent environment, must be safety conscious, good interpersonal skills is a must both internally and externally with customers, high attention to detail is needed, and have a strong motivation for delivering project objectives.

AS A PRESSURE VESSEL ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

Develop and finish the necessary calculations for pressure vessels and flanges to ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII requirements, company standards, contract requirements, and other related codes and specifications.Consult with project engineering and sales to settle degree of compliance with customer specifications and design requirements.Review and interpret codes and standards (ASME, CRN, etc.) for compliance.Serve as Responsible Charge for vessel and flange design.Plan and coordinate ASME audits. Support modification of ASME Quality Manual as the need arisesDevelop repair plans for vessels requiring modification.Review and approve production drawings, adding recommendations to improve design, reduce costs or increase production efficiency.Chip in as a technical resource to the shop, customers, sales, and other departments to address and resolve questions and problems.Confer with vendors to investigate sources and production methods of equipment, material or devices. Prepare requisitions and acquire quotes for same.Participate on multi-functional teams to address new design issues and resolve problems to ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of processes and methods.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution3+ years of experience designing ASME Section VIII pressure vesselsAble to understand and address a wide variety of technical problems with little mentorshipAble to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing and other presentation formatsWorking experience with AutoDesk Inventor or a similar 3D CAD softwareExpert in running COMPRESS or similar calculation softwareMust be an outstanding teammate, willing to learn from expert staff, mentor junior staff, and capable of introducing positive changesAbility to travel up to 10%Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Registered professional engineerPrevious experience as Engineer in Responsible Charge or as a Certifying Engineer per Appendix 47Ability to coordinate and lead teams with multifaceted strengths to implement changes and improvements

Schedule

The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world.
