Job Description
Responsibilities include managing all room assignments in an effective and efficient manner. This preventative maintenance crew person position ensures cleanliness and repairs are completed in all guestrooms and public spaces. The performance of the work should be met and exceeded. Responsible for adhering to general direction from supervisor.

Support the Crowne Plaza hallmark and service standards. Responsible for cleaning all furnishings in the guest room to meet "like new" standards. Responsible for shampooing carpets in guest rooms and hallways. Move and clean behind furniture. Flip mattresses and remake beds. Clean all bathroom fixtures and surfaces. Change shower curtains. Responsible for repairing plumbing fixtures and caulking bath tubs. Repair wallpaper and assist painter as needed. Repair and replace chipped or stained woodwork. Repair and replace light fixtures and thermostats. May work nights and weekends. Troubleshoot locks and door closers. All other duties as required.Competencies
Have the ability to connect with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner. One should have a sense of urgency. Have the ability to complete work accurately and in accordance with company standards. Balance the needs of the operation, administration and colleagues. One should have a faster than average work pace. Possess strong oral communication skills. One must be available for the demands of the business including nights, weekends and holidays.Education & Experience
High School or equivalent preferred Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and wall paper repair 0-2 years of hotel housekeeping experience preferredWork Environment
This job operates on multiple floors of the hotel. This role routinely uses cleaning chemicals, mops, brooms, vacuums, cleaning cloths, etc.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. One will be subjected to wet floors, cleaning chemicals and loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area among the guest floors.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position with expectation to work necessary business hours to ensure business needs are met during the operation of the Maintenance Department.
