JOB DESCRIPTION:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Candidate must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License in good standing, with their own vehicle and current auto insurance. Requires excellent team building and communication skills.
Preferred Qualification:
Experience in mental health or class room setting preferred.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Highly motivated, self-directed, excellent time management.
Essential Job Functions:
Reports to work as scheduled on a daily basis and performs assigned duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Provide knowledge and increase awareness of the nature and extent of alcohol and drug use.
Educate the community about treatment programs and services.
Educate the community about life skills, social skills, problem-solving, communication skills and peer resistance.
Establish working relationships with other community providers to strengthen the program.
Document and maintain records of contacts and presentations.
Public Speaking.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, depending on the nature of the assigned course. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to be able to hear.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:
This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday - 8:30-5:00. This position follows a regular school schedule. Must provide transportation within large geographic area and be flexible as to daily work hours.
